Garden of Lies is an intriguing story, if somewhat contrived, that was very nearly ruined for me with an overuse of metaphors and similes. At the end I was amazed to see that the book had sold over 2 and a half million copies when it first came out testimony more to the subject matter and marketing of the book than to the quality of writing/5().
